Tasks

-Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. -Maintain accurate records of work performed, assessment information (panels and devices brands and models). -Controls installation and troubleshooting. -Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations. -Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and building officials during installations or renovations. -Educate clients on the proper use and maintenance of fire alarm systems. -Install, troubleshoot, maintain and occasionally program fire alarm systems and related components (e.g., smoke detectors, pull stations, control panels, signaling devices). -Conduct assessments of fire alarm systems according to NFPA 72, local fire codes, and manufacturer specifications to identify deficiencies and system troubles. -Conduct assessments of control systems according to NFPA 70, local codes, and manufacturer specifications to identify deficiencies and or system troubles. -Diagnose system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.

What You Bring

Randall Fire Protection are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Electrician with Low Voltage Installation Experience to install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems and control systems and related equipment on project throughout Central Florida. This is primarily a Shop or Field Jobsite job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear. The technician will ensure that all systems are functional, compliant with codes, and meet safety standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of fire alarm systems and controls (HVAC), excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining the safety of occupants and property. Our selection will be driven by the skills / qualifications above as well as the ability to develop relationships with clients and co-workers to maximize your professional opportunities. -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks on the job site. -Minimum 10 years of electrical experience (120v), installation (Rough in, Conduit installation, Wiring). -Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. -Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. -Be able to identify preventive maintenance and service. -OSHA 10 / 30 Certification (Preferred) -Fully fluent in English. (Speaking, Writing, Reading) -Good communication and customer service skills. You will be the face and voice of the company when working in the field. -High school diploma or equivalent. -Strong understanding of NFPA codes. -Minimum 4 years of experience in fire alarm and/or controls installation. -Own and safely use hand and power tools and electrical tools (e.g. Drill, Impact, Multimeter, Hi/Low Voltage Detector, etc.)
