  • Provide input to and review Instrument installation and location deliverables.
  • Candidate should maintain the HSSEQ management system, and the tools required to implement it
  • Candidate should contribute to creating a workplace where everyone feels compelled to intervene whenever they observe an unsafe act or condition to ensure that everyone goes home safe and well and the environment is preserved in the successful operation of our business.
  • Review vendor documents and quotations for compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist the project automation lead as required with management tasks and project control functions, planning and scheduling.
  • Complete or review calculations for: control valves, PSVs, flow meters and thermo wells.
  • Preparation and review of all discipline engineering and design deliverables including drawings, instrument index, specifications, datasheets and BOM.
  • Detail engineering of field instrumentation (flow, level, pressure, temperature, analysers), valves (control, on-off, shutdown, motorized ) and gas chromatograph system
  • Assist with cost/manpower estimates and bid evaluations.
  • Enter/review instrument database content per P&IDs
  • Perform inter-discipline squad checks (esp. piping, model, mechanical equipment and buildings)

  • International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices that apply to Automation.
  • B. Tech/B.E. - Instrumentation
  • Automation workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination
  • Adherence to HSE norms
  • Excellent oral and written communication and skills
  • 12-16 years of basic and detail engineering experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry
  • Proficiency in understanding of P&IDs and Process Control
  • Instrucalc, flowel or any other instrument sizing software
  • Business Acumen, Client Focus
  • Smart plant Instrumentation
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Candidates having experience in Engineering office of Reputed Consulting Engineering Companies preferably in the field of Refinery, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Fertilizers, Oil & Gas will be preferred.
