- Design Interpretation & Field Support - Reviews and clarifies engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation, providing take-off assistance and coordinating constructability reviews.
- Coordinates with projects to implement Quality Management System
- Coordinates and may lead proposal efforts
- Maintains effective interface with Home office construction team, jobsite team ensuring construction’s requirements are communicated to Engineering team
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement - Engages with project management, superintendents, and discipline teams to enhance processes, share lessons learned, and foster an environment that promotes high-quality engineering and construction practices.
- Leads and participates in 3D Model reviews, interdisciplinary coordination reviews of design drawings and ensures design is safe, constructible, and cost effective.
- Multi-Discipline Oversight & Coordination - Manages and aligns various construction disciplines (e.g., civil, structural, mechanical, electrical), ensuring consistency in conceptual and early studies.
- Provides guidance on executing approved Constructability ideas and plans.
- Reviews the development and may lead delivery of Constructability awareness training and/or enterprise or project supervisory and technical training.
- Leads construction related design decisions by providing Construction’s perspective to schedules, design deliverables, equipment purchases, degree of shop fabrication, and equipment delivery configuration and sequence.
- Sponsors and develops enterprise applications
- Technical Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution - Identifies and investigates construction engineering challenges—such as design conflicts or unforeseen conditions—and coordinates with design teams to develop timely solutions.
- Initiates the Constructability Program process and schedule, identifying construction related requirements to other functions in time to support their estimating efforts during project development/Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase.
