Tasks
-Collaborate with estimating teams on RFP responses, cost estimates, and project schedules. -Lead the full lifecycle of electrical distribution and substation projects—from concept through execution—with a focus on quality, safety, and profitability. -Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting succession planning. -Drive business development by identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting proposal and bid strategies. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Lead contract negotiations and manage stakeholder expectations to ensure project success. -Review and approve detailed engineering designs, schematics, and bills of materials for substation and distribution systems. -Conduct site visits and maintain strong field-level engagement with project stakeholders. -Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and utilities to align design and execution plans. -Provide strategic direction to multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, subcontractors, and vendors. -Oversee project financials, ensuring alignment with business targets and delivering strong ROI. -Ensure compliance with technical standards, codes, and client specifications.

What You Bring
-In-depth understanding of the electrical industry, including key players, standards, permitting, easements, and best practices. -10+ years in electrical utility engineering and distribution design. -Experience managing and leading design teams, including overseeing project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation. -Understanding of the generation, transmission and distribution electrical systems. -Expertise in U.S. engineering standards, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional team leadership is a strong asset. -Demonstrate ability in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, driving strategic growth and innovation -Experience with major LDCs (e.g., Duke Energy, Exelon, FPL). -Strong leadership, financial planning, and project management skills.
