Draft mechanical, electrical, and civil drawings for distribution and telecom facilities.

Tasks

-Performs freehand and mechanical pencil and ink lettering for drawings, posters and prints. -Works with other department personnel to obtain and verify information needed to produce detailed drawings from designer and engineer sketches for circuit drawings and one-lines. -Prepares, maintains and updates circuit and one-line diagrams, prints and charts. -Creates and updates drawings manually and through use of computer aided drafting system. -Retrieves and issues original drawings from records management and reproduces maps. -This role performs drafting duties including preparation, maintenance and updating of overhead and underground distributing facilities or telecommunication documentation including circuit prints, station and standard drawings, maps, charts and graphic arts. -Drafts mechanical, electrical and civil construction drawings and updates controlled drawings from designer and field sketches. -Maintain computer aided drafting system in operational condition.
