On‑site startup, testing and commissioning of Siemens building automation systems, with extensive travel.

Tasks

System Validation: Participate in comprehensive system performance checks to confirm operational integrity and alignment with design intent. Documentation Management: Ensure all field documentation is up to date, including wiring diagrams, control sequences, and programming files. Collaborate with project teams to maintain accurate records. Project Preparation & Planning: Review project scopes, timelines, and system specifications. Collaborate with engineering and software teams to understand control sequences and programming requirements. Site Coordination: Support and guide electrical contractors during installation phases, ensuring compliance with design standards and resolving technical queries. Professional Development: Stay current with industry standards and technologies through training, technical literature, and professional resources. Cost Awareness: Assist operations management in reviewing labor cost reports and contribute to cost control efforts through efficient field practices. Team Contribution: Foster a collaborative and positive work environment. Assist in onboarding and mentoring new team members, and share technical insights to enhance team capabilities. Communication & Reporting: Maintain consistent communication with project stakeholders regarding progress, schedule changes, and technical issues. Document daily activities and maintain accurate field records. System Commissioning: Execute startup procedures, prioritize tasks, and coordinate commissioning activities. Work with software teams to implement adjustments and ensure system functionality. What You Bring

This role plays a vital part in the deployment and commissioning of building automation and control systems. The Field Commissioning Engineer is responsible for on-site system startup, functional testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning. The position requires both technical expertise with Siemens and strong interpersonal skills, as it involves working closely with internal teams and client representatives. -Integration Expertise: Perform field-level integrations using protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, LON, and OPC.
