Tasks

-Champion sustainability and green engineering practices in port design. -Ensure on-time delivery of design packages aligned with project schedules. -Act as the primary technical and commercial interface with clients and government authorities. -Lead the detailed design engineering of complex port & marine structures. -Conduct value engineering, risk analysis, and constructability reviews. -Manage P&L for the design & engineering vertical, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and cost efficiency. -Build long-term client relationships ensuring repeat and new business. -Support business development & proposals by defining engineering scope, methodologies, and costings. -Drive digital transformation (BIM, 3D modeling, simulation tools) to enhance design efficiency and quality. -Manage engineering consultants, third parties, and technology partners. -Drive continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency, and delivery models. -Oversee integration of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and marine systems into holistic designs. -Ensure profitability through cost optimization and resource utilization. -Implement strong QA/QC systems for all engineering outputs. -Deliver financial performance against defined revenue, margin, and cash flow targets. -Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams across geotechnical, structural, marine, and utilities disciplines. -Ensure compliance with HSE norms, quality standards, and statutory regulations. -End-to-end delivery of detailed engineering for multiple port projects. -Coordinate closely with EPC/construction teams for seamless execution. -Define and execute the design & engineering strategy for port infrastructure (container terminals, bulk cargo berths, liquid jetties, breakwaters, dredging & reclamation, yard development). -Represent the organization in industry forums, technical committees, and client presentations. -Approve key engineering deliverables – design reports, drawings, technical specifications, BOQs. -Monitor project budgets, billing, invoicing, and collection cycles. -Ensure compliance with international codes & standards (PIANC, BS, IS, Eurocodes).

What You Bring

-Experience: 20+ years in port & marine infrastructure engineering with at least 10+ years in leadership & P&L management roles. -Track record in design leadership for large-scale port projects (terminals, breakwaters, dredging, offshore structures). -Proficiency in engineering software (STAAD, Plaxis, SAP, MIKE 21, ANSYS, AutoCAD, BIM tools). -Strong client satisfaction and business growth. -Education: B.E./B. Tech in Civil/Structural/Marine; M. Tech/M.E. in Port/Marine Engineering preferred. -Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, budgets, and large engineering teams.
