Tasks
-access or use the online application process and need an alternative method for applying -Promote effective utilization of plants, equipment, and personnel; monitor daily labor and materials yields -Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety guidelines -Review schedules, job cost estimates, and bidding information within scope of assigned market area -Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to schedules -Hold operational teams accountable for meeting operational goals and achievement of financial results -Support, promote, and practice the Company’s core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies -Develop knowledge of market area, products, sales policies, and regulatory requirements impacting operations -Provide solid leadership and direction to operations teams within assigned area; set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for results -Oversee execution of initiatives supporting recruiting and retention of high-performing teams -Analyze, interpret, and present financial and operational data to Simon and Colas leadership teams -complete any part of the application process -Support execution of regional business strategy and initiatives aligning with company strategy, goals, and objectives -Support organizational change initiatives necessary to maintain a dynamic and flexible business model -Review market analysis data and provide recommendations to regional leadership regarding operational goals, and market growth -Ensure business practices follow ethics policies, financial best practices, and regulatory requirements -Prepare and reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjust operational schedules as necessary -Participate in regional budgeting, financial planning and forecasting processes -Develop and submit budgets and capital plans; routinely review operational expenses -Coordinate and direct utilization of resources, equipment, and personnel involved in projects within assigned area -Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects, write, use a keyboard and/or mobile device -Ensure operations are aligned with safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements -Participate in construction and production planning processes, budgeting, and capital planning to support operations -Collaborate with customers, job owners, agency representatives, subcontractors, suppliers, and construction and manufacturing supervisors to resolve issues and improve operational efficiency, quality, and service -Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams -Develop and maintain relationships with representatives from local, state, and federal entities, customers, and suppliers -Lead all aspects of manufacturing and construction operations in assigned market area -Provide mentorship to team leaders, and support team development and professional growth

What You Bring
-Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl -7+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, aggregate materials manufacturing and/or related field -Ability to effectively present information to individuals at all levels of the organization -Ability to lead, mentor, and develop others, define goals and objectives, and hold others accountable -Ability to engage with employees at all levels and inspire them to achieve success -Experience working with financial statements, analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and managing capital -Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear), and perform tasks requiring visual acuity -Valid drivers’ license and ability to maintain a clean driving record -Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance -Pass a pre-employment drug screen and PAT (physical abilities test). -Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and solve complex problems -Exposure to typical construction/industrial site conditions, including dust/chemicals and loud noise, heavy equipment and machinery, all weather conditions, and walking across uneven terrain -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents -Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and resolve problems -Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience -Regularly required to sit for long periods at a desk using a computer -Computer skills, including use of Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) -3+ years of leadership experience managing teams
