We’re looking for a Tower Crane Engineer (Electrical) to lead the electrical operations of tower cranes and hoists across major construction sites in the UAE. From installation and upgrades to troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, you’ll ensure our lifting equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. As a Tower Crane Engineer (Electrical), you will take ownership of all electrical components that power our lifting operations. Working closely with crane operators, rigging teams, and logistics personnel, you’ll supervise installations, handle upgrades, troubleshoot breakdowns, and maintain systems to meet both operational and safety benchmarks. You’ll be joining ALEC’s specialist Logistics and Plant Operations team—a group dedicated to executing lifting and transport operations with precision and safety. As the Electrical Lead for tower cranes and hoists, you’ll work alongside engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure all equipment performs reliably on high-demand job sites. Join ALEC Building and be a driving force behind digital excellence on world-class projects. -Install and configure PLCs, frequency converters, modules, limit switches, and safety systems -Activate, deactivate, and maintain anti-collision systems -Program and set restricted movement zones for tower crane jibs -Perform load testing and scaling for cranes and hoists -Conduct scheduled maintenance and safety inspections -Maintain inventory and coordinate procurement of electrical spare parts -Train and mentor in-house electrical technicians and support staff -Adapt and retrofit new electrical systems on older crane models -Lead electrical setup and commissioning of tower cranes and hoists -Mark and install crane bases and ties as per engineering drawings -Rehabilitate and rewire electrical panels for compliance and functionality

What You Bring
-5–7 years of hands-on experience with tower cranes and construction hoists -Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently, minimizing downtime -Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or lead role -Expertise in reading electrical schematics and technical documentation -Strong focus on safety, reliability, and proactive maintenance -Strong understanding of crane systems (e.g., Potain, Liebherr, Terex, Zoomlion) and hoists (e.g., Alimak, XMT) -Excellent troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills -Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
