Overview

Lead commissioning engineer for MV/LV drives, handling installation, maintenance, and customer support globally.

Tasks

-Provide single point of contact to the customer, customer team, and all other GE stakeholders -Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites -Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites -Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation -Assist customer with spare parts ordering & issues resolution -Commissioning of the Medium Voltage and Low Voltage variable speed drives with Medium Voltage Switchgear in business segments such as Power Plants, Metals, Marine, Oil & Gas, Material handling, etc,. -Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment -Primary GE representative, lead site on assigned customer or project. -Accurately document as commissioned documents for record keeping -Apply Six Sigma analytical tools to assist the customer with proactive reliability and management. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) -Assist customer with improving reliability and reducing cost of ownership -Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards -Assist the factory with data collection and timely reporting to facilitate fleet performance analysis, including marketing intelligence and sales opportunities for services, and support -Provide site leadership, technical direction, and assistance to the customer, user, and other GE field personnel in the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of assigned product lines

What You Bring

-Strong oral and written communication skills -Experience in using Six Sigma tools for continuous improvement -Proactive self-starter and change agent & ability to work under stress environment -Knowledge in Power Electronics, High Voltage Equipment & PLC -Knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for wide range of equipment vintage -Masters/ Bachelors/Diploma Degree from accredited college / university in Electrical Engineering or allied Engineering. -7 – 20 years of relevant experience -Should have process knowledge of Metal / Marine / Oil & Gas / Test Bench / Material Handling / Power Plant -Ability to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills -Ability to design, sell and implement process improvements -Strong attention to detail -Strong interpersonal and leadership skills -Effectively communicate across all organizational levels, departments, and functions -International experience -Work experience on MV/LV drives -Cross functional, ability to work on matrix environment, and international team experience -Demonstrated technical aptitude and business acumen.
