The Role

Overview

Oversee construction material testing & inspection on Mississippi job sites.

Tasks

-Obtain and deliver soil samples from the jobsite to the laboratory -Run tests on concrete samples and deliver the samples to the laboratory -Ensures on time and regular attendance -Obtain concrete samples from the ready mix trucks -Ensure that company-owned equipment is maintained in good working order -Drive a company vehicle in a safe manner -Make concrete test cylinders -Observe and record construction crew performance data for related activities -Walk, stoop, bend, and climb up and down stairs and ladders -Submit daily reports and other documentation to the Team Leader as -Utilize a 40 lb. nuclear gauge to run tests on construction materials -Prepare reports and perform field activities in a timely manner -Perform all tasks assigned in a professional and ethical manner and -Perform visual inspection of rebar -Proactively review all project documents and testing procedures, and exhibit -Interact with clients and contractors in a professional and ethical manner -Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and training programs to -Establish personal goals for improving job performance -Report to the Team Leader corrective actions (when necessary) to best -Ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are implemented on all -Establish and maintain a daily diary of all field activities for each project -Work in high grounds and high open buildings -Follow all written procedures for work being performed

What You Bring

-Ability to wear appropriate PPE for hazardous materials -Valid driver's license -Six (6) months of experience in construction material testing -Nuclear Gauge Certification -Stand, walk and balance in irregular and uneven terrain and pavements, -Must be willing to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed by the -ACI Level I Certification (must be able to obtain) -High school diploma or equivalent -Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. -Pull or push 400 lbs. in a wheelbarrow -Ability to read and write in English -Preferred candidates will demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to travel to various job sites and locations as required -Communicate effectively with others written and verbally
