The Role

Overview

Perform construction observation and inspection for municipal infrastructure projects

Tasks

-Interpret construction drawings and specifications and take appropriate action to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the requirements of the project construction contract. -Perform quantity measurements and computations, record keeping, contractor pay estimate preparation and review of contractor progress; materials testing; field staking and general inspection for municipal road and utility projects. -Perform construction observation of municipal infrastructure projects. -Maintain client relations while in the field. -Prepare reports, review design standards and code requirements, and conduct field investigation of design problems.

What You Bring

-Strong written/verbal communications skills and the ability to operate independently. -Experience working in AutoCAD and Civil3D. -Experience in excel and word. -Staking/survey experience. -Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. -Previous municipal infrastructure construction observation experience, including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, and roadway construction experience would be beneficial. -Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering technology or equivalent.
