Complete accessibility assessments (ADA, UFAS, Fair Housing) and life safety evaluations.
Photograph and document findings; write clear and accurate reports using assessment software.
Communicate urgent issues and client updates to internal leads and project managers.
Conduct on-site Property Condition Assessments (PCA), Capital Needs Assessments (CNA), and other building evaluations using iPad-based software.
Meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and consistency in reporting.
Visually assess building systems (MEP, structural, roofing, envelope, interiors, and site components).
Interview site contacts and review historical maintenance and inspection documentation.
Perform HQS, NSPIRE, and UPCS inspections for affordable housing programs.
Maintain safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Ability to use and skillfully operate a computer is essential to this position.
Bachelor’s degree in architecture and/or engineering or related field is preferred. Experience and certifications in lieu of degree will be given consideration.
Requires ability to traverse, observe equipment, and record data and photos on safely accessible roofs and other high or open areas, which may require ladder and/or hatch access.
Valid driver's license is required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record).
Ability to work in densely equipped mechanical and electrical spaces requiring dedicated focus on safety protocol.
Must have a cell phone and reliable internet service.
Ability to operate an electronic tablet in the field for live data collection.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Certifications such as LEED AP BD+C, HQS, NSPIRE, UPCS, PE, RA, or Home Inspector License, preferred
Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, as well as balance, climb stairs and ladders to evaluate interior and exterior of buildings.
Ability to use and skillfully operate an electronic tablet efficiently in the field for live data collection.
Excellent time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently.
Frequently reach, repetitive use of hands and fingers for keyboard interaction
Experience with building inspections, construction, facility management or related work..
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on MS Excel and Teams and comfort with tablet-based inspection tools (iPad).
Ability to operate a motor vehicle, travel by plane, vehicle, train and possess a valid driver’s license void of issues related to insurability.
High school diploma or equivalent, required with experience in a construction, maintenance, home inspector, contractor, home builder or other skilled trade or related.
May travel 100% of the time to client sites locally or across the U.S. and possibly internationally via plane and driving as determined based on the project location.
Experience with HUD inspections, CNA e-Tool, or affordable housing assessments, preferred.
Must be able to work from a remote location and be willing to fly and live near (or be willing to relocate to) a major metropolitan area with reasonable access to a major airport.
Valid Passport to travel internationally, if required.
