Supervisor

Overview

Oversee building maintenance, trades, inspections and repairs for residential properties.

Tasks

-Supervise and coordinate tradespeople and subcontractors across multiple workstreams -Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance -Compile management reports on operational activities and performance -Provide excellent customer care and resolve issues professionally -Oversee planned, cyclical, and responsive repairs to ensure timely and high-quality delivery -Monitor productivity, resource allocation, and contract profitability -Inspect works at height including doors, windows, and snagging on scaffolding -Log works and generate reports using PDA systems and Excel -Conduct pre- and post-inspections on internal and external tenanted properties -Ensure all works meet industry standards and building regulations -Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and company operating procedures

What You Bring

-A full valid UK manual driving licence -Willingness to undergo DBS/security checks prior to employment -Ability to use PDA systems and Excel for reporting and logging tasks -Comfortable working at height and inspecting scaffolding-based works -Organisational and planning skills to manage resources and meet deadlines -Ability to carry out inspections and assess work against quality standards -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Entitlement to work in the UK (Mears does not offer visa sponsorship) -Strong understanding of planned, cyclical, and responsive repair programmes -Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi-trade teams -Proven experience supervising operatives within the repairs and maintenance sector -Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence -Experience in the above duties -A trade background with hands-on knowledge of building maintenance practices
