The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair apartment units, respond to resident requests, ensure property safety.

Tasks

-Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including repairs, painting, and cleaning -May be required to work at multiple WPMC properties as needed -Use and maintain hand and power tools, Freon recovery machinery, air conditioning gauges, and vacuum pumps -Identify and report potential liability concerns and safety hazards -Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and apartments -Respond to resident maintenance and service requests in a timely manner -May assist in groundskeeping, trash removal, pool maintenance, housekeeping, or office support based on property needs -Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergencies -Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry standards -Communicate with onsite staff, Property Managers, and Regional Managers as needed

What You Bring

-HVAC & EPA certification required -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. -Diagnose and repair issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and interiors -Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing ladders -Use of hand and power tools for extended periods -Dependability and strong attention to detail -Knowledge of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, construction, and electrical systems -Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening -Reliable transportation to support property needs -Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions -Ability to work independently and as part of a team -Valid driver’s license with a clear Motor Vehicle Record -Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills -3+ years of maintenance experience in a large property or multi-site apartment community
