Tasks

-Utilize web-based software to update asset information and generate inspection reports. -Assist with bridge design and rehabilitation projects - performing design calculations, estimates, and specifications as well as assist with bridge rating calculations and reports. -Plan, perform, and supervise bridge inspections in accordance with NBI Standards and all safety guidelines. Monitoring project budgets and schedules.

What You Bring

-Experience: Minimum 8+ years of bridge inspection and structural engineering -Physical ability to perform field work year-round in adverse weather conditions and work around bridges, roads, rail, and tunnels -Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. -Certification: EIT required, PE license preferred (or ability to obtain within 1 yr). FHWA-NHI-130055 and additional FHWA Training (Fracture Critical, Moveable Bridge, Tunnel, or Ancillary Structures) -Physical ability to carry ladders and gear, work at heights, and work in water with waders -Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office. Experienced with MicroStation or other CAD software for roadway design. -Knowledge: Knowledge of NJDOT CombIS, AssetWise, National Bridge Elements, and SNBI coding. Knowledge of structural design and analysis

Benefits

Compensation: $45.00 - $60.00 / hour
