Tasks

-Verify safety training of all workers -Conduct and document daily safety and health inspections -Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements and inspections -Perform project hazard analysis and maintain hazard communication programs -Lead on-site safety meetings and toolbox talks -Attend all preparatory and periodic in-progress meetings -Conduct new employee safety orientation -Maintain safety reference materials on the jobsite -Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports

What You Bring

-Computer knowledge in sending emails, daily reports, construction look-ahead schedules, and iPad use -must be able to provide dates and hours -Proof of 8 hours or more of formal safety training each year for the last 5 years -Comfortably work at heights, including on roofs, scaffolding, ladders, and elevated surfaces -BCSP certification as a Safety Trained Supervisor (STS), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and/or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) preferred. -Strong work ethic with a passion to fulfill commitments -5 years of experience on similar construction projects – must be able to provide dates and descriptions of previous projects including dollar amounts -Experience on large ground-up; DOD/USACE; vertical projects of 15M+ preferred -Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, multi-tasking, communication and conflict management skills -Regular use of hands to finger, handle or feel -Outside weather conditions, such as extreme heat and extreme cold -Corp of Engineers EM 385-1-1 experience -30 hour OSHA certification training within last 5 years -Talk or hear with others on jobsite and via phone/computer communications -Moderate to loud noise levels -First Aid and CPR certified -Willing to work 6 days a week if job requires it -Stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl -Certificate of training on the following: -The ability to speak Spanish is a plus -Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds -24 hour Competent Person for Fall Protection training that complies with EM 385-1-1 section 21 (Current within 2 years)
