The Role

Overview

Lead regional bridge engineering discipline, managing teams, projects, business development.

Tasks

-Responsible for billings and collections. -Travels (via car or airplane) regularly to the various regions and offices. -Complies with and ensures others compliance with all CED policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Health and Safety Program. -Monitor staff utilization regularly and take corrective action if necessary. -Provides leadership, managerial direction and guidance for the region to achieve established goals. -Works with the geographic discipline leaders on resource sharing and staffing needs. -Responsible for regional training and staff development. -Responsible for discipline marketing and business development. -Directs overall productivity, profitability, client satisfaction and quality of work. -Technical Knowledge/Expertise- Continually learn and apply applicable standards, procedures, trends, technology, and criteria to successfully perform the functional responsibilities of the position. -Actively involved in the cross selling of all company services.

What You Bring

-15+ years of progressive leadership and managerial experience in the industry with 10 or more years of Bridge Engineering experience. -Business Acumen- Knowledgeable in best practices, trends, information, and other influences that affect CED and the environment in which we work, to maintain our position as an industry leader. -Communication- Possess and demonstrate the ability, skills, and initiative to exchange information effectively and efficiently. -Demonstrated effective leadership across large groups of employees. -Program and Project Management- Possess and demonstrate the ability to lead effectively and efficiently, plan, organize and manage procedures, protocols and/or staff to achieve the desired results of specific projects and/or programs. -Effective delegation skills. -Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. -Prior DOT experience is highly preferred. -Relationship Management- Possess and demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships which support the success of the Company. -Ability to hold other accountable. -Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. -Strategic thinking. -Excellent communication skills.
