Tasks

-Act as a primary engineering point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, and third parties. -Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, mentoring engineers and supporting professional development. -Lead and manage engineering team execution on major/large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, safety, quality, cost, and schedule. -Provide technical and leadership support throughout all phases of the project lifecycle—from project definition and proposal development to detailed engineering and commissioning. -Interface regularly with project management, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment and seamless project execution. -Oversee multi-disciplinary engineering teams, coordinating across all engineering disciplines to deliver integrated and technically sound designs. -Ensure engineering deliverables meet applicable codes, standards, regulations (including EGBC), and client specifications.

What You Bring

Ability to present technical information, both written and verbally, in a concise and professional manner 10-15 years of related experience practicing civil, marine or geotechnical engineering on large scale and/or complex projects. Demonstrated capability to conduct and supervise geotechnical engineering through field investigations to design, and train, mentor and develop junior and intermediate staff Strong level of commercial acumen, including cash collection, workshare, change management and contract review and management A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution plus appropriate continuing education in civil/geotechnical engineering, or equivalent Professional experience in ports and marine terminal infrastructure is required. Cold weather/Arctic experience is considered an asset. Self-starter, flexible team player, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks and to coordinate staff Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) Demonstrated history of effective client engagement, relationships and management Experience in preparing proposals and developing engineering and capital cost estimates Excellent organizational and time management skills -Advanced Analysis
