Maintenance Technician

Overview

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems in a lab.

Tasks

-Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems. -Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently. -Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion. -Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs. -Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance. -Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail. -Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. -Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner. -Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws.

What You Bring

-Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. -Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and manage work orders through a CMMS. -Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. -High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. -Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. -Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
