Tasks
Working closely with the US Project Design Manager, project engineers, and sales teams, this role plays a key part in delivering engineering solutions that meet client specifications, local codes, and internal standards. The US Project Designer is also responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing all project-related questions, providing timely and accurate technical support, and delivering complete documentation packages in a prompt and professional manner. The US Project Designer is responsible for supporting the technical design and services of solar racking projects for the U.S. market. This position focuses on creating accurate, code-compliant designs, providing technical support to internal teams and clients, and ensuring design quality throughout the project lifecycle. -Support training activities by attending and participating in sessions that enhance understanding of solar racking products, design tools, and U.S. requirements. -Prepare bill of materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and submittal packages required for customer approval and permitting processes. -Document design iterations, project updates, and client feedback accurately and in a timely manner. -Develop detailed solar racking system layouts and designs based on project specifications and U.S. engineering standards. -Create accurate designs and documentation using internal design tools to support permitting and construction. -Travel to customer sites, distribution centers, and headquarters as needed. -Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and customers by responding to design-related inquiries and making timely revisions when needed. -Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Tijuana office, requiring daily presence to support team collaboration, training activities, and coordination with cross-functional departments. Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Solar, Mechanical, Structural, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical field). -Full-time availability to work on-site at the Tijuana office. -High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. -Strong organizational and analytical skills. -Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. -Must speak, read, and write fluent English to communicate effectively with U.S.-based teams, clients, and technical documentation. -Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). -Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners. -Work independently with minimal supervision while staying aligned with business goals. -Previous experience in the solar industry strongly preferred. -Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and design/analysis tools such as Helioscope, Aurora, or similar platforms -knowledge of solar PV racking systems design (ground-mount, rooftop, or carport).
