Tasks
-Providing mentoring and training for junior staff. -Leads, participates, and collaborates in a project team setting and engages in creative and critical thought. -Promoting collaboration and teamwork across business lines and geographies. -Contributing to multiple projects simultaneously. -Leading project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, subcontractors, and vendors. -Assisting with establishing project objectives, procedures, and performance standards, and leading multidisciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services for multidisciplinary engineering projects. -Engaging in leadership in Professional organizations that align with expertise, writing technical papers, and delivering technical presentations for conference and symposia events. -Maintaining and enhancing our reputation with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider. -Growing internal and external networks to enhance Stantec’s reputation and identifying additional talent to join our team. -Working in a manner to protect the health and safety of Stantec employees, clients, and the public by following company health, safety and security guidelines and policies. -Assisting in developing project scope, budgets, and design for various sized projects, supporting marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, writing technical portions of proposals, participating in client interviews, and supporting negotiations for project contracts. -Developing client relationships to facilitate project activities. -Serving as EngineerofRecord on projects. -Remaining current on regulatory policy and rule changes and may establish working relationships with regulatory officials. -Supervising the work of other engineers, including setting priorities for their scope of work, their budgets and their schedules for completing the work.

What You Bring
-Efficient project management/technical leadership of assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects. -Understanding of client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, and producing high quality deliverables -Technical expert in many relevant areas of design and understanding of various design and construction methods -Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications -Strong knowledge of civil systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards -Strong presentation and interview skills -Ability to communicate and build relationships with clients -Requires an understanding of Microsoft Office, as well as relevant discipline software programs, which may include GeoStudio, FLAC, Plaxis, AutoCAD Civil3D, PCSWMMM, HydroCAD, or other software -Ability to travel 1020% of the time Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. -Minimum of 10 years of experience. -Effective communicator and able to work on and lead teams -Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one jurisdiction with the ability to obtain reciprocity in others, as needed -Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering. -Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of design and construction codes
