The Role

Overview

Oversee supplier procurement, performance, and project delivery for MCFR reactor projects.

Tasks

-Manage submittals between supplier and MCFR Team. -Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes and relationships to ensure positive feedback to MCFR. -Coordinate technical review process of supplier deliverables and ensure appropriate responses. -Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with supplier. -Manage interfaces between suppliers and MCFR technical team. -Manage supplier performance through application of project management practices overseeing cost, schedule, contract scope, submittal/deliverable, and resources. -Develop statements of work (SOW) and project planning to execute supplier projects to meet program objectives. -Facilitate supplier selection activities with the Contract Administrator to lead requests for proposals (RFPs) through Bid, Evaluation and Award (BEA) by examining and comparing bids to select the best offer to acquire goods, works, and services necessary to achieve the goals of an organization -Provide support to contract administration and commercial activities as needed to implement projects.

What You Bring

-Strong communication skills and attention to detail desired -Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities, including earned value management -Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience for level 10, or 10 years of relevant experience for level 11. Experience level may be partially substituted for advanced degree depending on position relevance -Demonstrated skills in the technical direction of suppliers and in supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships. -Experience in qualification of components or Commercial Grade Dedication preferred -Special Senses: Visual and audio focused work and ability to perform role in personal protective equipment. -PMP or CAPM certificate is preferred. -Travel: 10-25% -The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork. -Motor Abilities: Sitting and standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands). -Work Conditions: Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hrs./day -Repetitive work: Prolonged. -Must have experience with project controls and organization along with tools and processes to support the same. -Physical exertion and/or requirements: Minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds. -Experience defining supplier scope, including development of statements of work and requests for proposal. -Preference for experience in procurement of electrical and instrumentation or vessels and piping in a production environment. -Experience in managing cost and schedule in Safety Related manufacturing and construction preferred
