Tasks
-Identify potential risks and/or challenges and develop proactive strategies for risk mitigation. -Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates. -Manage project data using proper document control established by the company. -Create and manage the procurement process from buyout to closeout. -Facilitate project meetings and communicate professionally through email, over the phone, and face to face. -Advocate process improvement activities to ensure efficient productivity. -Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee that projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations. -Create a complete project risk plan and report to senior leadership monthly on the status of project health at various stages. -Meet with owners and architects to develop ideas, plans and specifications. -Role model compliance with wearing PPE and create a positive safety culture on project sites. -Manage project plans and distribute to trade partners as necessary to ensure all parties have up to date information. -Contribute to the Safety Team’s annual, monthly, and weekly goals. -Work alongside the Safety Department and on-site management to ensure activities are being done in a safe manner. -Work closely with the city to ensure permits are received on-time to begin construction. -Occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 25 pounds. -Conduct regular site inspections to assess workmanship and compliance with specifications. -Ensure project meeting minutes are documented and distributed timely. -Implement effective risk management practices to minimize project disruptions. -Collaborate with the project team to establish realistic and achievable goals and milestones. -Collaborate with the accounting and finance department to accurately forecast and report financial status. -Create change orders and monitor status with Project Admin. -Create and monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures to ensure projects are financially stable and meet expectations. -Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. -Engage with small to medium sized projects from design until closeout, being the first line of communication for design entities and guiding the team through the preconstruction process. -Address client concerns and expectations, ensuring overall satisfaction and building long-term relationships. -Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining open and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. -Work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure seamless project execution. -Coach less experienced project team members

What You Bring
-Ability to forecast 3 months out and remove obstacles for field staff. -Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices. -Solid understanding of building codes, zoning ordinances and ADA regulations. -Frequent use of standard office equipment, including telephones, computers, and presentation tools. -Ability to travel to client meetings, project sites, and industry events as required. -Proactive problem solving and ability to work in a team environment. -Proficient in Project Management & estimating software, Microsoft Office Products, and Scheduling Software highly preferred, but not required. Willingness to learn all the above required. -Must be able to effectively read and interpret construction documents (Structural/MEP/Civil drawing sets). -Visual and auditory acuity to perform essential job functions, including reading documents, using a computer, and engaging in conversations in various environments. -Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Must be able to travel to job sites and, periodically, stay overnight depending on the location of the project. -Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management or related field of study with a minimum of 2 years of managing commercial construction projects with demonstrated results is required OR an associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
