Overview

Assist in HVAC/mechanical and plumbing design, coordination, and construction administration.

Tasks

Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables -Work with HVAC and plumbing vendors to select mechanical and plumbing equipment, systems, and devices. -Perform routine HVAC/mechanical and plumbing engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures -Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed. -Review mechanical and plumbing documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines. -Work independently on small HVAC/mechanical and plumbing design projects or assist moresenior engineers on larger HVAC/mechanical and plumbing design projects through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project. -Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations -Coordinate workload to complete the documents on schedule. -Provide construction contract administration as needed. -Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreedupon changes into the project documents. -Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications. -Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables

What You Bring

-Experience using IESVE Calculation Software -Recent graduates will be considered -Construction administration experience is a plus -Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace3D, or similar software -Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm -Experience in sustainable design/LEED desired, but not required -Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate -Project Management experience is a plus -Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression. -Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
