The coordinator helps drive cost savings, reduce supply risk, and support on-time delivery of quality products. -Coordinate supplier onboarding: NDAs, vendor setup forms, banking information, quality questionnaires, certifications, insurance, and compliance documentation; ensure records are complete and stored properly. -Search, identify, and pre-qualify potential suppliers globally through research, networking, and market analysis; capture capability details (capacity, certifications, core competencies, lead times). -Enter and maintain approved cost, lead time, MOQ, and terms in ERP/MRP and sourcing dashboards; ensure accuracy of part numbers and vendor records. -Prepare weekly sourcing status updates, dashboards, and KPIs (quote turnaround time, qualified sources per part, cost deltas, and delivery risk). -Consolidate and compare vendor quotes (pricing, MOQ, lead time, Incoterms, payment terms, tooling, NRE) and highlight deltas and risks for review by the Global Sourcing Manager. -Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs to approved and prospective suppliers; track quote status and follow up to close gaps and overdue responses. -Support dual‑sourcing initiatives and identify single‑source risks; flag critical items requiring additional sources or contingency plans. -Coordinate with Purchasing on PO placement to selected suppliers; obtain acknowledgements, promised ship dates, and tracking information; escalate delays or risks to the Global Sourcing Manager. -Support logistics handoff by confirming agreed Incoterms and collecting shipment documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates) when required. -Support cross-functional meetings to resolve obstacles related to cost, lead time, supplier capability, or manufacturability. -Serve as first point of contact for routine supplier questions and route technical/commercial issues to the appropriate internal owner. -Maintain and update the supplier database and sourcing trackers with accurate contact information, capabilities, cost, lead time, and terms. -Maintain organized records of RFQs, quotes, approvals, NDAs, supplier scorecards, and performance notes for auditability and future reference. -Liaise with Engineering and Quality to obtain drawings/specifications, manage document control, and confirm suppliers are working to the latest revisions.
