Tasks
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of transmission and distribution projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company procedures. The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with proven leadership and commercial acumen. -Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, standards, and company policies. -Lead the planning, execution, and completion of transmission and distribution projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives. -Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining effective communication and building long-term relationships. -Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, budgets, and schedules, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. -Drive continuous improvement and support business development by identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency across projects. -Oversee and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and performance.

What You Bring
-Previous experience in a Project Management role within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors. -Strong understanding of tendering processes within engineering, utilities, or energy sectors (design, construction, and O&M preferred). -Strong technical awareness to interface effectively with engineering and operational teams. -Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously. -Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a small team (initially one direct report). -Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with bid/tendering portals -Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (desirable but not essential with strong experience). -Knowledge of NEC contracts and framework tendering (Desirable) -Experience in supplier engagement and commercial negotiations. -Commercially astute with proven ability to develop competitive bids and manage costs/rates. -Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in representing the company externally. -Demonstrable track record of supporting successful Projects.
