The Role

Overview

Manages spare parts inventory, purchasing, and PM kits for facility and lab equipment.

Tasks

-Monitor stock levels to ensure critical parts are available; reorder and replenish inventory as needed. -Adhere to safety, regulatory, and company standards in all inventory practices. -Collaborate with maintenance technicians, planners, and engineering staff to understand parts requirements and improve processes. -Oversee purchasing, receiving, and proper documentation of spare parts transactions in the EAMs CMMS. -Forecast inventory usage trends by analyzing historical data, usage rates, and upcoming maintenance schedules. -Continuously seek opportunities to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and prevent obsolescence. -Conduct periodic inventory audits to reconcile physical counts with system records and investigate discrepancies. -Proactively build and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) kits for scheduled maintenance work. -Maintain and update the spare parts database within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). -Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate terms, and resolve issues. -Manage, track, and control spare parts inventory for facility and instrumentation lab equipment.

What You Bring

-Experience building PM kits and supporting preventive maintenance programs. -Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to facility and lab maintenance. -Ability to work independently, be proactive, and prioritize multiple tasks. -Familiarity with instrumentation and laboratory equipment parts. -Proficient in using inventory management software, with hands-on experience in EAMs CMMS or similar systems. -Strong understanding of maintenance operations, spare part identification, and supply chain best practices. -Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. -High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related technical field preferred. -Effective communication and negotiation skills for working with internal teams and external suppliers. -Minimum 3 years of experience in MRO inventory management or a similar role, preferably in a facility or laboratory environment.
