Manage and administer transportation design‑build construction projects in Tallahassee.
-Conducting regular site inspections to assess progress, identify potential problems, and ensure adherence to project specifications -Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality control standards, and environmental requirements on construction sites -Reviewing and approving project documentation, including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals -Directing and assigning specific tasks to administrative and field staff and assisting in all phases of the construction project -Participating in project planning meetings and contributing to the development of project execution strategies -Assuming lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support personnel -Mentoring junior staff and providing technical guidance on construction methodologies and best practices -Under limited supervision, conducting work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria -Coordinating with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure project compliance and timely completion -Preparing and managing progress estimates and final estimates throughout the construction project duration -Receiving general instructions regarding assignments and exercising initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems related to transportation engineering and construction projects -Preparing and presenting project status reports to senior management and clients -Monitoring project budgets and schedules, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed -Staying current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the transportation construction sector
-Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida, or the ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state -Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Due to the nature of the projects associated with this position a valid US citizenship is required -FDOT Advanced MOT -Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
