The Role
Overview
Design and prepare civil engineering plans for land development projects in SoCal.

Tasks
-Monitors project budgets and hours assigned to specific tasks. -Ensure quality of design and implement innovative ideas through supervision, participation, plan reviews and training of junior staff. -Preparation of technical reports and calculations (i.e., hydrology/hydraulics, WQMP, SWPPP, and water & sewer). -Prepare preliminary and final engineering plans for residential, commercial and industrial projects in Southern California: grading, street and utility improvements. -Mentoring less experienced staff -Use originality and ingenuity to provide technical innovations by devising practical and economical solutions to problems in our own or closely related disciplines. -Aid project manager in client/agency interaction, endeavor to build lasting relationships.

What You Bring
This position is open to candidates located near any of our four Southern California offices: Irvine, Corona, Murrieta, or San Marcos. We regret that relocation assistance is not available and that we are unable to consider applicants residing outside of the Southern California area. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for this position. We are not able to sponsor work visas for this role. -Problem solving, sound judgment, decision-making, communication, and team building skills. -Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering and/or a Minimum 3 years of experience with managing multi-disciplined land development engineering tasks. -Drainage design experience, along with Water Quality mitigation for low impact development applications. -Manage technical aspects of projects showing strong proficiency in the preparation of construction plans, reports, and documents for land development projects. -Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. -Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Civil Design, H2OMap Sewer, and Water is highly desired. -Experienced in preparing and checking infrastructure improvement plans for public agencies. -Experience in engineering design for land development projects. -Experience in working with survey data to prepare base maps.
