Tasks

-Review any documentation prepared by Assistant Project Manager before submission. -Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the client. -Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers, planning, coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, and maintaining all company/project policies, procedures, standards, etc. -Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the guidelines of corporate policies. -Responsible for preparing a complete estimate for the selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid form. -Supervise the preparation of all change quotations for presentation to the prime client and assist in negotiating all change quotations to a conclusion. -Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under supervision. -Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager. -Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget. -Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary -Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact. This will include the assessment of the scope of work, schedule, and resources necessary to complete a project successfully. -Supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project. Negotiate all change orders on the project. -Represent the company in project meetings under the guidance of PM II or Sr. Project Manager. -Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager.

-Up to 25% -Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures -Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude -Effective performance management skills -Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Accubid and Oracle preferred -Can be a combination of training, education, and relevant work experience -Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player -Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance -Oral and written communication skills as required for the position -Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry in a Project Management role -Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or other related discipline preferred -Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
