Design and manage water, wastewater, and drainage projects.

Tasks

-Remain updated on current professional practices and maintain a high awareness of new products and procedures in industry by monitoring trade publications and actively participating in professional associations -Coordinate and complete construction administration activities -Review plans for compliance with local, state, federal and industry standards -Attend client meetings -Develop plans, specifications and probable opinion of construction cost estimates for water, wastewater and drainage projects -Complete design calculation utilizing spreadsheets and computer-based design software -Assist in or complete water, wastewater and drainage design and layout activities including erosion control and water quality maintenance -Engineering Software Requirements Specific to Water Resources, such as but not limited to, WaterCAD/Gems, SewerCAD/Gems, ArcGIS, -Complete computer modeling for water distribution, wastewater collection and drainage systems -Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner -Monitor and observe daily construction activities on civil engineering projects -Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support -Perform drafting tasks, as assigned, to meet deliverable schedules -Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects -Complete work in such a way as to maintain project schedules and costs -Complete studies, reports, and investigations of water, wastewater, and drainage issues based upon needs and desires of clients -Comply with all company policies including safety policies -Prepare permit applications relative to water, wastewater, and drainage facilities -Perform field inspection and investigation -Explore alternative construction or operating methods that could be used to save costs

What You Bring

-Ability to contribute positively in an overall team environment -Ability to provide practical and results oriented technical solutions for projects -Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word -Strong organization and time management skills -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana preferred; licensure in additional states may be required -Sufficient experience and proper competency to serve project engineering client needs -Bachelor’s in civil engineering or related field. With EIT Certification
