CAD Technician

Description

Working as part of a collaborative design team, you’ll produce detailed CAD drawings to support the design and delivery of complex engineering schemes. The work will cover both permanent and temporary works, supporting design engineers and project teams throughout the lifecycle of projects.

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet technical and programme requirements.
• Support digital delivery and document control processes across projects.
• Manage drawing updates, revisions, and as-built records in line with company standards.
• Develop accurate and compliant 2D and 3D CAD drawings for engineering and infrastructure schemes.

Requirements

This is a great opportunity for someone with a civil or mechanical background to contribute to large-scale regional projects that improve local communities and environmental outcomes.

Experience Required

• Good understanding of construction or utility project workflows.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (and ideally Civil 3D or similar software).
• Previous experience in a CAD role within an engineering or infrastructure environment (civil, mechanical, or related discipline).
• Water treatment or water sector experience would be a real advantage but isn’t essential.
