Tasks
As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing Tramco’s finance function, combining hands-on financial management with leadership, strategic insight, and commercial oversight. You will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting while driving process improvements and supporting key business decisions. -Drive process improvements across finance systems, workflows, and internal controls. -Ensure compliance with GST, FBT, PAYE, and liaise with external advisors on tax and regulatory matters -Oversee the finance function, providing hands-on financial management, strategic insight, and commercial oversight. -Partner with operational and commercial teams to align financial processes with business goals and support investment and growth initiatives. -Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. -Prepare NZ IFRS-compliant financial statements, reconciliations, and quarterly reporting for the Board and stakeholders. -Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and assist with audit preparation. -Maintain the general ledger (Xero) and manage treasury, payroll, and supplier payments across the management company and property portfolios. -Analyse financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve efficiency and profitability.

What You Bring
-Solid understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements. -CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent) with strong knowledge of NZ accounting standards and best practices. -Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and the ability to balance operational and long-term priorities. -Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. -Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word, with experience in Xero. -Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data effectively. -Experience with applying Co-Pilot / AI tools in a commercial finance setting at a practical level is desirable.
