Senior CNC Machine Operator

Overview

Operate XYZ CNC machines, set up, inspect, maintain, and support production in shift work.

Tasks

-Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment -Support junior operators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives -Perform routine maintenance and report machine faults -Set up and operate XYZ CNC machines to produce components to tight tolerances -Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams -Maintain production records and ensure compliance with ISO standards -Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code/FANUC/Siemens) -Experience operating XYZ CNC Lathe. (XYZ Milling advantageous) -Forklift or overhead crane licence (desirable) -Apprenticeship in engineering (preferred but not essential) -Ability to work independently and manage shift priorities -Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection tools -Flexibility to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends) -Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills -NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or CNC Machining -DSE Eye Tests
