Design, build, and commission control systems for hoists, belts, and power distribution.

Tasks

-Work with vendors to specify and procure components. -Test and troubleshoot control systems at our on-site UL panel shop. -Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with a team of engineers and designers. -Serve as Project Lead Engineer on mid-size and large projects. -Ensure all designs meet customer requirements and internal standards. -Commission hoists, vertical belts, and skip loading systems on mine and heavy civil construction sites. -Review designs for fit, function, and accuracy. -Develop PLC programs and HMI applications. -Design job site power distribution for tunnel boring machines, belt systems, and hoists. -Design and implement control systems for electrically powered equipment, including hoists and vertical belts. -Travel intermittently to project and customer sites for system commissioning.

What You Bring

-Minimum 3 years of electrical engineering experience. -Strong project management and communication skills. -Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. -Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, PowerFlex drives, ABB ACS880 drives, and EasyPower software is a plus (training provided for the right candidate). -Additional beneficial skills: Autodesk Electrical or LT, Revit, Document Control, Hydraulic System knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency.
