The Role

Overview

Operate heavy civil and marine construction equipment, including cranes and earthmovers.

Tasks

-Assembly and disassembly of the crane and barge for maintenance or mobile projects -Setting wood, concrete, vinyl, and sheet pilings for dock supports, seawall slabs, house foundations, etc. -Professionally maintains and cleans equipment as assigned -Supports technicians in completing tasks as needed -Rigging for above activities as well as for other types of material and equipment loads -Dredging using a clam bucket or drag-line as well as hook work -Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements. -Safely transports and moves equipment as assigned, using lifts and Forklifts -Operate equipment in an efficient manner and follow instruction of on-site management. -Safely and effectively operate various types and sizes of heavy civil construction equipment including but not limited to dozers, tractors, scrapors, loaders and excavators. -Troubleshoot any issues associated with the crane, barge, and propulsion equipment -Perform daily maintenance of crane, barge, and propulsion equipment -Keeps the lot clean and organized as instructed by management -Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

What You Bring

-TWIC Card -Minimum 5 years’ of experience as an operator on Marine/Heavy Civil construction projects. -Industry level knowledge of safety and work site hazards -Ability to operate both hydraulic and friction cranes. -NCCCO Certified -Proficiency in pre-shift inspections and able to identify mechanical issues. -Availability and willingness to work weekends and night shifts per business needs. -Ability to operate cranes performing duty cycle work. -Understand construction safety standards and productively work safely. -Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation. -Willing to work out of town and travel to project locations. -Availability and willingness to work out of town and travel to project location.
