Logistics Coordinator I

Overview

Oversee and coordinate inbound/outbound logistics and material flow at the plant.

Tasks

-Secure and oversee shipping arrangements of units, including working with outside companies to secure trucking and containers -Confirm all manufactured and purchased parts are available for timely shipment -Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, scheduling, and quality, to ensure smooth material flow and timely delivery to meet production schedules -Manage daily parts/tower staging and outbound flow of materials -Manage BOL and quality photos of each shipment -Collaborate with Sales when arranging shipment -Assist with compliance requirements and document retention -Perform system functions related to shipping -Coordinating with Project Management, Logistics Management, Shipping Clerks, Material Managers, and Carriers for the Olathe plant’s outbound shipments -Measure and improve On Time Delivery for aftermarket, package towers, field erected products, and inter-plant orders -Provide up to date information to customer or end user as to delivery dates and times

What You Bring

-Knowledge of SAP -High School diploma -Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules or demands -Demonstrated understanding of warehouse management -TMS Enterprise Shipping System Web based App. -Good verbal and written communication skills. -2 Years in Logistics, Material Handling or Inventory Controls -Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and improve processes -Basic level Excel, Word -Bachelor’s degree, preferred
