The Role
Overview
Investigate utility damage sites to assess liability and support recovery efforts.

Tasks
-Conduct interviews at damage sites with contractors, technicians, witnesses, police, homeowners, etc. -Photograph and document the damaged scene to accurately portray and determine liability. -Take precautions always to utilize safety protocols. -Assist the Claims Recovery team with follow-up actions after damage site reviews. -Build and develop a professional working relationship with the client, their contractors, technicians, management team, and other personnel. -Perform on-site assessments of underground and aerial power and gas utility damages. -Analyze and review all evidence related to third-party utility damage for the purpose of determining a liable party.

What You Bring
-Background in business operations with a strong attention to detail -Ability to drive a personal vehicle to various damage sites, including daytime and nighttime travel. -Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. -Previous experience in investigations and/or law enforcement is highly desirable -Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions. -Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills -Familiarity with the utility or utility locating industry -Must possess a valid and current driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle suitable for representing the company, and auto insurance meeting both federal and state requirements, with minimum auto liability coverage of 100/300/100 for bodily injury and property damage. -Proven ability to multitask and effectively manage time in a dynamic environment -Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds. -Understand and utilize State Dig Laws and Statutes, excavator requirements, and NESC standards. -Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. -Proficient in Microsoft Word and comfortable using public or shared computer systems -Ability to bend, stoop, or reach as necessary to perform essential job duties. -Must be willing and able to utilize a personal vehicle for work-related travel as required.
