Experienced Security Installer

Overview

Install and program fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and intercom systems.

Tasks

-Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, and floors. -Isolate trouble to a customer network, where applicable -Plan, organize and prioritize work paying close attention to details. -Perform system checks for proper operation. -Conduct End-User training. -Install cable, field equipment & control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the national electric code, company and customer guidelines. -Use computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets and databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage. -Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot complicated problems during installation. -Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets; then position and terminate cables, wires and strapping -Analyze information. -Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. -Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation -Complete and submit all necessary paperwork related to job assignments.

What You Bring

-High school diploma, or GED, or equivalent. -Can work unsupervised to complete installation jobs and is self-motivated to complete jobs. -Understanding of the function and design of Alarm Systems. -2 or more years of experience with IP addressable security devices. -Is proficient with all aspects and operation of ADT A.I. core card access, CCTV systems. -Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships. -3 or more years of experience in Digital & Analog Camera Systems. -3 or more years of experience in Access Control Systems. -Associate degree -or- 2-year technical school program graduate preferred (plus) -An industry-recognized apprentice training program may be substituted for the formal education requirement. -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Capable of using hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment -Computer literate and tech-savvy -Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. -Knowledgeable in computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage. -Previous experience installing fire alarm systems -Advanced TCP/IP networking skills. -C-Cure 800 or C-Cure 9000 -Experience planning, prioritizing, and multitasking.
