The role focuses on producing accurate cost estimates for projects at all stages, from pre-tender through post-tender, while supporting efficient project delivery and maximising commercial performance.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure estimates are technically sound and commercially competitive.
Ensure tender submissions are accurate, complete, and in line with internal procedures.
Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to maintain up-to-date and competitive estimates.
Issue and assess enquiries from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quotes comply with specifications.
Provide Value Engineering and alternative product proposals to optimise cost and efficiency.
Review completed projects to compare estimated costs and timelines against actual outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
Prepare detailed project estimates using standardised processes and consistent methodologies.
Conduct take-offs and input data into estimating systems to calculate project costs accurately.
