The role focuses on producing accurate cost estimates for projects at all stages, from pre-tender through post-tender, while supporting efficient project delivery and maximising commercial performance.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure estimates are technically sound and commercially competitive.
  • Ensure tender submissions are accurate, complete, and in line with internal procedures.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to maintain up-to-date and competitive estimates.
  • Issue and assess enquiries from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quotes comply with specifications.
  • Provide Value Engineering and alternative product proposals to optimise cost and efficiency.
  • Review completed projects to compare estimated costs and timelines against actual outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed project estimates using standardised processes and consistent methodologies.
  • Conduct take-offs and input data into estimating systems to calculate project costs accurately.

Electrical Estimator

  • Familiarity with electrical installations is advantageous but not essential.

  • Proven experience preparing electrical estimates or similar project cost calculations.
