Tasks

-Prepare commercial deliverables for proposals, including price schedules for Lump Sum, options, and unit rates. -Perform cost simulations to evaluate alternatives (e.g., J-lay vs. Reel Lay, flexible vs. rigid) and support the tender team in identifying the most cost-effective solutions. -Integrate deliverables from all departments involved in the tender process, including Project and Operations, Engineering, Business Delivery Functions, Legal, Finance (including Tax and Treasury), and Insurance. Provide proactive input to support their contributions. -Perform product-based cost analysis for each tender, ensuring clarity and accuracy in the breakdown of cost components. -Develop the execution plan with the Project Manager (Tender Lead) and the Tender Engineer (Commercial Lead) to produce a complete, accurate, and optimized cost estimate. -Implement cost impacts during contract clarification and negotiation phases. -Contribute to initiatives that strengthen collaboration between Estimating and support functions, with the aim of developing more competitive and value-driven proposals. -Ensure smooth handover to the project team after contract award, following Group S&M guidelines. -Build accurate cost estimates for commercial proposals while ensuring full compliance with Subsea7’s Business Management System (BMS) and internal procedures, fostering accountability, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the estimating process. -Analyze project expenses and revenue over time to support favorable payment terms and cash flow conditions in contracts.

-Precision and attention for detail -Team-oriented with transparent and collaborative work style -Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (preferred) -Proactive, analytical, and highly curious -Good understanding of Subsea7’s products and activities (preferred) -Able to take a broad view and apply critical thinking -Fluent in English, both written and spoken -Experience in estimating or project services in similar industries (preferred) -Ethical and trustworthy with confidential information -Flexible and available to meet demanding deadlines -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Cost Engineering, or equivalent
