Tasks

-Lead crews in removals, pruning, canopy management, vegetation clearing, and right-of-way maintenance. -Assist with site clearing, grubbing, and landscape construction activities as needed. -Conduct equipment inspections, logs, and safety compliance documentation. -Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, DOT, and union safety protocols. -Train and direct crew members to maintain safe, productive workflows. -Coordinate daily work with project managers, arborists, and general contractor personnel. -Operate bucket trucks, chippers, stump grinders, cranes, and related heavy equipment. -Plan and execute safe rigging and controlled takedowns in dense or high-traffic environments.

What You Bring

We are expanding our tree operations division and seeking an Urban Forestry Crew Leader to serve as a key field lead. This role is suited for an experienced operator with strong bucket truck, rigging, and removal experience who can coordinate small field crews and ensure safe, efficient jobsite execution. Employment is contingent upon verification of qualifications and eligibility to work in the U.S. We collaborate closely with ISA-certified arborists, agency representatives, and general contractors to execute critical tree operations in urban corridors, public rights-of-way, transportation hubs, and environmental restoration areas. -CDL-A license (Required). -Proven experience operating a bucket truck and performing complex rigging-based removals. -5+ years of professional tree operations experience. -Exposure to high-profile municipal & infrastructure project environments. -Must be able to work in all seasonal weather conditions. -Flexible mindset toward occasional night or weekend shifts. -Experience working in public works, municipal, or infrastructure environments preferred. -Willingness to travel across NJ, NYC, and NYS based on project assignments. -Consistent, year-round work tied to public contracts. -Ability to interpret work plans and follow safety procedures without exception.

Benefits
