Tasks

Maintain a safe and clean work environment; follow safety procedures and attend regular safety meetings. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Fabricate and assemble HVAC ductwork (rectangular, spiral, fittings), ensuring proper sealing and compliance. Use various fabrication tools and machines including shears, roll formers, Pittsburgh, TDC, and slip rolls. Operate CNC plasma cutting tables (e.g., Vulcan or similar) to cut galvanized, stainless, or aluminum sheet metal. Inspect and finish ductwork components; perform grinding, deburring, and apply insulation or lining as needed. What You Bring

Familiarity with SMACNA standards is preferred. 2+ years of experience with CNC plasma cutting tables in a sheet metal or HVAC environment. Experience operating standard sheet metal fabrication equipment. Able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and moving for extended periods. We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Plasma Cutter Operator & HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team at our Jacksonville, NC prefabrication warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a CNC plasma cutting system and fabricating high-quality HVAC duct components in accordance with industry standards and project specifications. Proficiency in basic math and use of measuring tools. Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings accurately. -Experience operating standard sheet metal fabrication equipment. -HS Diploma or equivalent is the minimum required education for this position. -2+ years of experience with CNC plasma cutting tables in a sheet metal or HVAC environment. -Proficiency in basic math and use of measuring tools. -Familiarity with SMACNA standards is preferred. -Able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and moving for extended periods. -Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings accurately.
