The Role

Overview

Maintain urban beehives for clients, provide education and data collection.

Tasks

-Engage with clients and tenants about the services Alveole offers (currently including beehives, beehomes, data collected through samples -Data collection, -Maintain honey beehives at client sites s on a minimum three week “cycle” basis, carrying out a variety of tasks to support bee health throughout the beekeeping season. Tasks include: -Drive regularly in your city including to client sites, yards, equipment and bee suppliers. -Facilitating educational workshops.

What You Bring

-Sensitive to Alvéole’s mission and Alvéole’s standard in terms of client’s engagement. -Strong organizational skills. -Comfortable working at heights and willingness to work in buildings. -Good communicator in-person -Comfortable driving in cities. -Comfortable with the reality of beekeeping hazards (stings, heavy lifting, inclement weather, etc.) -Resourceful with a demonstrated ability to anticipate change and proactively adjust priorities and strategies accordingly. -Comfortable with public speaking or presenting to a group in English. -Experience in beekeeping. -Willingness and ability to work when our services need to be provided -Valid driver’s license since more than 3 years and with a clean driving record. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs) -Comfortable using online communications tools e.g. Gmail, Google Workspace, digital inspections and scheduling software -Location to ship and receive and store beekeeping items
