Tasks
-Communicate status to key stakeholders and regional leadership -Lead team and vendors accurately complete system enhancements and upgrades -Live the Magic of Equinix and set the example for the team -Effectively communicate and deliver data-driven presentations, tailored to each audience -Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional and field operations leaders; anticipate needs and make recommendations based on industry knowledge -Facilitate and support internal and external audits -Define objectives, provide performance counseling, mentorship, career development, and succession planning for your team -Lead team to work safely, effectively, and with high regard to human error avoidance -Respond to customer RFP’s and RFI’s -Perform and aid in testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and incident resolution -Deliver training and onboarding of new team members -Cascade key business information to the team -Review MOP’s for accuracy and risks -Ensure compliance with Equinix's standards, KPIs, OKRs, and SLAs -Leads, manages, recruits, and develops staff across multiple locations -Lead teams and vendors to complete data center and regional projects, while partnering with Field Operations teams and other business partners to ensure success -Prioritize, plan, track, manage, and measure team output and productivity -Serve as seniormost escalation point within East region for complex mechanical, electrical, and building management system issues -Collaborate with team, Field Operations, and regional counterparts to forecast operational needs, establish plans, and secure funding -Lead efforts to analyze infrastructure, including total cost of ownership and ROI to identify and manage lifecycle and long-term planning -Identify needs, plan, and secure resources to provide training for direct teams, as well as regional teams -Provide support for data center operations, including resolution of sophisticated issues and complex technical efforts -Lead efforts to improve building efficiency. Collaborate with field operations teams to identify and implement changes -Review and provide budget recommendations in support of regional financial goals -Review and provide support for complex projects, ensuring alignment with regional and company goals -Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to meet business requirements, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards -Provides strategic guidance and direction to deliver results and continuously seek to improve performance -Support internal and external communications. Ensure relevant stakeholders are engaged and kept informed of the progress and status of initiatives -Ensure work is completed to Equinix's standards, and meets operational KPI's and OKR's -Plan, implement, and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, with a focus on fiscal responsibility and financial KPI’s

What You Bring
-10+ years' experience managing critical facilities, with a strong preference for data center experience -Travel up to 25% -Experience leading, coaching, and developing technical teams -High School Diploma -Technical expertise in critical power, cooling systems, building management systems, life safety, and environmental compliance
