Tasks

-Participate in or lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) teams -Provide engineering support of service and/or development related hardware issues including Engine Investigations (EI) and Technical Variance (TV) analysis -Support the supply chain in procuring hardware, concession consultation and execution of Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs) -Address manufacturing, assembly, in-field, and aftermarket issues as they arise -Deliver new component designs, analyses, and changes within the Design Technical Approval (DTA) gated process, which includes (but is not limited to) creating design concepts, optimizing concepts to a final definition, preparing technical presentations and documents, supporting creation of drawings, analysis, delivering hardware for validation, and release of hardware to the field -Develop and specify component design requirements in accordance with module, system, and customer interface requirements

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, OR -Experience with gas turbine or turbomachinery power transmission components, including gears, rolling element bearings, shafts, and high-performance seals. -JD/PhD in Mechanical Engineering -Experience in dimensional tolerance stack-ups and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) -Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, OR -Experience in progressing designs/changes through a gated review process. -Experience in the following software applications: Siemens NX, Siemens Teamcenter, ANSYS, Microsoft Excel -To be considered for this role, you must be a US Citizen -Experience in the design, analysis, and/or verification of aerospace mechanical components and/or systems. -Knowledge of gas turbine subsystems and components and their function and operation
