Tasks
-Document all processes to define a standard manual for key activities. -Ensure that balance sheet account reconciliations are prepared on time with the necessary supporting evidence to guarantee numbers are accurately represented. Recommend and implement corrective actions as needed to improve any gaps. -Identify internal control risks and design and implement processes and controls to mitigate those risks, ensuring the business maintains a strong control environment and complies with financial regulations and policies. -Serve as project manager for cost reduction initiatives, working cross-functionally with engineers, procurement, and plant operators to drive cost reductions. -Identify team training needs while providing ongoing coaching for skill improvement, performance measurement, and feedback. -Ensure compliance with legal reporting requirements (for international entities) and various tax filings (for national and international entities). -Assist with monthly entity closings, including maquila billing, journal entries, and account trend analysis. -Provide support to FP&A in preparing the annual budget plan and the monthly forecast budgeting process to analyze and interpret plant performance through the evaluation of variances and assessment of impacts on plant results. -Contribute to and implement continuous improvement of processes, including their simplification and optimization, enhancing data integrity, and leveraging current technology. -Oversee the entire fixed assets process, maintaining a complete and up-to-date fixed assets register with all appropriate supporting documentation, ensuring timely capitalization of assets, and maintaining excellent control of the CIP account with no overdue balances. Lead the planning and inventory of fixed assets according to policy, ensuring all assets are tagged and clearly identified. -Supervise daily activities and support the Plant Controller with Fixed Assets, Costing, Accounting, Accounts Payable, VAT Recovery, Taxes, and FP&A.

What You Bring
-Fully Bilingual: English/ Spanish -US GAAP Proficiency -Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. -5+ years of experience as an Assistant Plant Controller or Junior Plant Controller, preferably at a large international manufacturing site.
