Identify and refactor legacy IaaS workloads to PaaS, containers, or serverless where appropriate
Manage the development, deployment, and maintenance of IaC templates using Terraform and Ansible
Drive quarterly DR testing, logging, and business continuity planning as part of standard operations
Establish version control, change tracking, and peer review standards for infrastructure code
Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategic objectives into cloud and network architecture plans, aligning infrastructure decisions to business outcomes
Integrate DR policies, backup automation, and cross-region replication into IaC and operational toolsets
Implement and optimize resource tagging, reserved capacity planning, and usage monitoring
Establish platform ownership models, operational standards, and intake processes for new infrastructure requests
Lead architecture reviews and training sessions to uplift internal capabilities in cloud-native design
Drive adoption and change management across teams for cloud and infrastructure best practices
Design and implement resilient architectures with RTO/RPO-aligned disaster recovery strategies across cloud platforms
Partner with enterprise architects, security and application teams to ensure cohesive and secure designs
Architect and manage enterprise-wide network connectivity between cloud environments, 180+ remote sites, and third-party services
Build reusable modules for consistent infrastructure provisioning across environments
Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to design resilient and secure network architectures
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and support shift-left practices for DevOps teams
Establish and govern modern tenancy standards, integrating compliance, tagging, and operational observability
Lead the design and continuous improvement of Azure and AWS architectures for scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency
Design and maintain routing protocols (e.g., BGP), SD-WAN policies, and hybrid cloud networking integrations (Azure vWAN, AWS TGW)
Act as a cloud and networking subject matter expert, coaching internal engineers and promoting knowledge-sharing across teams
Build relationships across the enterprise to understand business challenges and opportunities
Monitor and enhance platform reliability through observability tooling and auto-remediation practices

Proven track record of translating technical architectures into business value
Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible, including production-level deployments
Demonstrated expertise in Azure and AWS cloud architecture and networking
Deep experience with IP networking, LAN/WAN design, BGP, cloud network design, and SD-WAN (Meraki preferred)
Strong understanding of DR, business continuity, and high-availability architectures
Strong scripting (Powershell, Bash, Python), automation, and infrastructure lifecycle skills
Leadership experience mentoring teams and driving cloud capability maturity
Skilled in assessing the business impact of infrastructure investments, including TCO, ROI, and risk
Ability to align cloud architectures with business strategy balancing performance, cost, and scalability to deliver measurable outcomes
7+ years in senior-level network or cloud engineering/architecture roles
