The Role

Overview

Perform offshore O&M on renewable assets, handling electrical/mechanical tasks and safety.

Tasks

-Maintain complex system involving difficult access -Management & coordination of the site works including monitoring of RES’s contractors’ performance -Deliver planned and reactive offshore activities -Provision of relevant information for reports to issue to client -Delivery of retrofits -Delivery the onshore and offshore electrical & mechanical work -Inspection and planned maintenance of onshore and offshore assets -Support the production and review of procedures, processes and technical literature -On-Call: depending on your knowledge and experience, you may be expected to participate in a call out rota to provide emergency response outside of normal working hours. -Inspection and maintenance of RES’s tools, equipment and PPE -Draft and/or provide inputs into proposals and related cost books -Producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements -Delivery of operation and maintenance services, including but not limited to:

What You Bring

-Capable of working offshore and at height -Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) -Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation -Experience of working in multidiscipline teams -IRATA or rigging qualification (desirable) -Experience working at height (desirable) -Hold a full driving license -Physically fit, the role will require climbing / transferring to offshore structures -Knowledge of HV safety rules -Technical capability for the evaluation of complex equipment -GWO Training (desirable, however full training will be given) -An NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, but background in technical discipline -Experience with data logging and communication systems -Knowledge of balance of plant applicable to offshore wind farms -Excellent attitude to safety -Experience of transmission systems -Awareness of working at height and within a confined space -Experience in mechanical, electrical, power electronics, and hydraulic maintenance activities and troubleshooting -Compliance with site safety rules including escalation and reporting of any safety, environmental and operational issues -LV, HV & mechanical fault-finding and analysis -Knowledge of wind turbines and related equipment -Work effectively alone and as part of a team -Knowledge of HV systems -Experience of the offshore wind industry
